Retirement Planning Made EasyOpens in new tab focuses on pensions and retirement. The learning outcomes for this course are to enable individuals to:

  • estimate how much money they'll need in retirement.
  • understand how pensions work – including the State Pension – and how much income they could offer in retirement.
  • understand the different options for taking money from pension pots and the pros and cons of each choice.
  • understand the options available if their pension income won't be enough to match their plans and lifestyle in retirement.
  • understand how events such as divorce and bereavement can affect their retirement finances and learn how to manage the implications for their retirement income.

Midlife MOTOpens in new tab covers broader financial, physical and mental wellbeing considerations. The lessons of this course aim to enable individuals to:

  • review their finances, understand how to improve their current position and know what retirement income they'll need in retirement.
  • look at their working life and create a plan for any changes they might want to make for the future.
  • assess their personal wellbeing and understand any issues that might need to be addressed.
